I've always been interested in knowing which rappers are from the street for real and which ones are just puppets to the game. A good amount of rap is the glorification of violence and the street life. It's convo I've had with my brother back and forth over the years. Joey Crack though has sonned the debate and just admitted it. He is a rapper who portrays a gangster. He in real life is a hard-working married father of four. It brings up the question, do you want the artists you admire to be real or fake? Yes it's entertainment but music appeals to your character in a lot of aspects. You feel what these people speak from singing to rapping it across that beat. I enjoy certain peoples music because I can relate it to my life. So if music is going to relate to your real life should it be presented by a real person rather than a character? Fat Joe said "Most of my music is entertainment, stuff I've never done in my life," he says. "I put it on records, and it just sounds crazy. I love making provocative, disrespectful music. And that's what the people want to hear." Interesting statement but by soundscan stats in this download for free world, His record didn't push 50K in its first week which is horrible. It's funny all the records I've enjoyed by this man seemed to be the only ones where he wasn't portraying the hard-ass dude. "I Won't Tell" , "All I Need" and "What's Love" seem like they come from his real life. I don't understand why he has gone his whole career faking it when he could do these radio friendly songs,get paid and be true. Obviously the people don't want what he is pushing.The public is smarter than what these radio execs think. You want to respect someone for being real but this dude been fake for like 13 years lol. Be Clear!!! They are coming. I should be nervous for obvious reasons. Probably going to start deleting stuff after this post. Anyway the powers to that be are teaming up and hitting us from all angles. First they were tracking the college students through their schools network and handing out fines and lawsuits (I know some people that were handed some), Then they hit the mixtapes dealers, the most notable: DJ Drama and his
squad, big sites like albumbase and my beloved Audiomaxxx also got caught up too. Now they hit us with the next wave of demolitions. Japan is the first country to institute a plan of action in slowing down the whole file-sharing craze. The UK and Canada already have proposals on the table in similar fashion. The U.S. will probably sit back for a bit and see how it works then try to follow in some shape or form. The music and movie industry pushed it though. We all know that. Honestly if I was on there side I would think that it’s the best idea ever. They punk the ISP companies into banning us from the net if we continue to send and receive music and video freely. I doubt it will have any criminal relevance but still. That is kind of big. I know for people that live with multiple people this would be huge cause one person can fuck it up for EVERYBODY. We all know we are wrong for not paying for most of our music but for me it's about the love of music. Music saved my life....PERIOD. If I have to pay for music then I'll probably just pay for it but I love it so much that I'm always trying to find new stuff. When you love something you are going to try any which way to get it for free or cheap. My love for sneakers has me on eBay every other day. I know people that network with sneaker shops and come out with hookups. It's just how things are. This will be interesting to watch play out. We'll see where it goes.

Another Reality Show About Nothing

So there giving Luke a reality show. If your not familair with him, he is one of the most notable members of the 2 Live Crew who were pioneers in the whole XXX themed music with "Pop That Coochie", "Me So Horny" and "Throw that Dick". The whole reality show trend is getting out of hand and of course the majority of them are geared towards the misrepresentation of black america. VH1 is the money and power behind most of them. Luke Campbells show will center around him raising his two daughters and trying to run his adult-entertainment business. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee . . . For real I want to see some other peoples lives being taped or a new genre of this reality show craze. I've never been into things becoming annoyingly repetitive and that what television is right now to me.

Whose your favorite Rapper? Does His stage name begin with Lil or Young ? The favorite rappers on my list for the moment don't have either of the two monikers in their names, although I do respect one of the Lils who has become a regular in the mixtape assault tactic lol. I just find it funny that you worked your ass off to become a man but soften that proclamation by going by a Lil or Young. Yes this is the entertainment industry but name another genre of music that waters down their worth with these monikers. If you look at the state of hip-hop in general it has taken a trip to the south and stayed there for awhile. Which isn't bad because we've seen good music come out of it. But with a few names from different regions, the south is where these most of these monikers reside. Maybe it is the elements, I could be missing something extremely important in understanding this. I reside in the south but am mentally, a east coast Boston breed YOUNG man. I say young man because I don't believe I've reached the exact level to proclaim myself a man. But Im close, hence the young man part. Do each of these rappers have that explanation to explain their current stage names?

I recall another teeny bopper rapper who came out with "LIL" then removed it around the time he turned 18. That makes sense to me.He came into the game young and little but by the time he got to the legal age he didnt feel the word defined him properly. I never cared for his cockyness but you have to respect him. Note to reporters and industry insiders can you please add to your interview questions "What made you pick your name ?" since I'm unable to politic with these people on a regular basis. Some of them are in their 30's talking about "YOUNG" this & that . Sorry but I laugh at you YOUNG rappers lmao.

St. Valentine's Day: Media . . . Love . . . and Chivalry

Hehehehehe . . . So the day is here again. I'm single as usual. Not really caring either. The fact that I've never been in a relationship on Valentine's Day just makes me numb to the whole pagan holiday. I'm not sulking about being lonely like the next girl and guy I know lol. People fail to realize that today is simply big to YOU because you choose to feed into the hoopla. The media is pushing it down your throat and you are falling for it. Who but YOU can tell YOU that you need love. Why are you trying to measure up to what the media says. Personally if I was in a relationship I'd be trying throughout the year to butter and romance my lady so she need not look towards valentine's day for special treatment and gifts.

Now on another note who wants to fall to love? See some people fall in love and some fall TO love. Their personalities fall to the sucker for love syndrome. Signs of this are apparent in their actions. Has their personality been tweaked? Has it done a total 36o? Umm does your tough friend all of a sudden act like a "pussy" (men only). Do you wonder why your girl that was always a close friend to you is suddenly distant and never around ? If there is a significant other involved then they probably are suffering from the sucker for love syndrome. That shit breaks thousands of friendships up a year lol. They do dumb stupid shit because they are in love. Frankly i hate it. He cheats on you, you run back to him. She fucks your cousin and you rub it off. Last but not least how about chivalry in 2008 . . . yes I know ladies, chivalry is usually geared towards the male going out of his way for you beautiful women. But come on now, as far as woman have come to properly being accepted as equal including your right to vote etc. Can't we the males be treated special? I mean damn this isn't just a valentine's day thing. If you have a special guy and he is doing you right either in or out a relationship from time to time you need to cater to him a bit. We watch those goofy-giggle-emo-lovey movies , cuddle you when you feel lonely and my SOME of us even step to the store to pick you up tylenol and a slew of other female products just so your comfortable during THAT time. Give us a break lol . . It's really elementary to me when I think of all the girls who are mad nobody did anything for them on valentine's day although THEY didn't raise a finger to try and cater to a man on valentine's day themselves. . . lol just a thought.

I think our society is becoming numb to so many things. Really look at your cell phone and tell me how many numbers you know by heart. Remember before laptops and cellulars you had to hand write your whole english essay or remember all your friends number. When was the last time you walk across the street from where you were to make a call on a pay phone. Everything is a lot easier now but is it good for our mental growth. If we use less of our brain power in the name of new technology what exactly will become of the portions of our brain we aren't using anymore? Society is weird because we want these new ways of doing things to make it easier on ourselves but we loose some of our intelligence with certain aspects of it. I never thought I would have a device that stored over 10,000 songs rather than have a walkman which i had to manually press rewind/forward to get to a song I wanted to hear. Think about how lazy we are, do you realize that the average American is overweight. It's all just a thought. It kind of makes me want to step back a moment and maybe re-memorize the important numbers in my phone or do my math our instead of using a calculator . . . JUST to keep my brain exercised lol.

Do you like the attention grabber lol ? Now that I have your attention lets get into it. I've been holding on to this thought for sometime now but I held it to just a conversation with certain friends. I decided I wanted to speak on it with a broader audience. What we have below is an invitation to a baby shower that is probably one of the worst, classless pieces of work I've seen in my years. Some of you reading know the female who wrote it. Many of us actually weren't invited. But with things of such distaste, People find it their duty to spread it around. I honestly think we all didn't get these invites because this CHICK knows how we get down. She knows that if such an invite was delivered in MY inbox she would get the wrong end of my filthy mouth or an earful. The fact that I read this shit made me want to sit down and write a long letter to CHICK (lack of a better word). First off it's quite selfish that she even had the nerve to state such RULES in an invite. She really stated a deadline for giving her gifts. Second when I was growing up it was taught to me that you receive gifts because it's a nice gesture. It's never been mandatory, so for her to state these things shows what kind of person CHICK is. Most of us know how CHICK looked and acted in high school so for her to be pregnant makes me want to slap fire out of the foolish idiot who had intercourse with the beast in the first place. You would think since we've left high school and moved through college that she would have grown up a bit and been exposed to more positive influences and became a better person. After setting aside the horrible grammar and spelling issues, you can see a ghetto, disgusting invitation that should warrant someone to sit down and re-raise this girl as if she were an infant. I'm actually quite disturbed that people would even stand for this and plan to attend the function in the first place. It goes to show you some people just aren't brought up properly.
